VBS

This was Lily's first year going to VBS.  She loved it!!!  Most of the week, little Anna was there with her, but she had to go out of town on Thursday.  Who was not there, however, was Caroliney.  But that didn't stop her from wanting to be a part of the performance on Friday!!!  Click the links to view the videos!  C kept going up to be with Lily and when I didn't let her, she can be heard in 1 of the videos asking (whining) to go up there.  Excuse the shakiness.  It's hard the hold the camera still with a 2 year old pulling on your arm.

We have since moved Caroliney into the princess big-girl bed which you see a part of in this picture, so there will be no more forts made out of the crib for us!!  But we can still make them out of other things!!!

Beach Pics

I didn't take too many beach pics once again this year. We had a really good time, except for all of the rain. Being cooped up in the house with cousins was actually fun for my kids, but we just didn't get much beach time and what we did get was kind of rainy and actually a little cold. I think the weather was just reflecting the fact that we were bummed that Andy and Helen and their kids weren't there this year. Nonetheless, a good time was had and we were sad to leave.

Both of my children are professional Easter egg hunters.  They love it!!!  C had a great time at her school hunt and, like Lily, found so many eggs that we had to turn some back in at the end!!!  Clearly I have taught them the important things in life...candy!!

More Catch-Up 1

I finally downloaded what I needed to in order to be able to put pictures from my phone onto the computer.  So, here's a few more old posts!!  First of all, this is a picture Lily drew of Bryan back in February.  Please not the Gecko on his shirt and the face that his laptop is open in front of him.  She certainly knows her Daddy.  Love it!!!

Which brings us to today...

We started the day off with a friend's birthday party at the park, which was super fun and went great...until the end...when my oldest acted very much not like herself and through a fit of epic proportions. It was rather embarassing and though I'm so lucky to have super sweet friends who are understanding and forgiving, I sort of feel like I should drop an "I'm sorry!" gift by my friend's house. Anyone else ever have moments like that?

So much alike...yet so different.

 L & C have very different personalities, but Caroliney likes to do pretty much whatever Lily does...sometimes without even realizing it.  I recently took this picture of C...

Lily's Graduation!!!

The night of her last day of school also happened to be her graduation night. The kids came in dressed in a profession that they might want to be and sang lots of songs for us...while I cried. Then they left and we watched a slide show of pictures of them set to music...and I cried some more. Then the kids came back in cap and gown and got their "diplomas"...and maybe I cried a bit more. Then we had a little reception afterwards and THEN our little family went to Brewster's!! I didn't cry there! :)

Last day of Preschool EVER!! :(

Last week, Lily had her very last day of preschool ever. I truly thought I would not be emotional over the whole thing. I went to drop her off and her teacher from when she was 2 and her current teacher both helped her out of the car and I said, "Look Lily! Your teacher from your very first day of preschool and your very last day of preschool both right here together!"and promptly burst into tears. I was a bit of a mess that day, which also happened to be her graduation day and if I really think about it, I can still cry now!! I just can't believe my baby is starting Kindergarten next year. It seems like she just arrived into our lives and now she's becoming such a big girl!
