Girl Genius!

Check this out!!!  Yes, I gave some instruction, but I never touched the pen at all and she didn't need a lot of instruction...just a little with the "Y".  I wrote the one on top so she could see what it looked like and then she wrote the one on bottom!!  This all started b/c she really wants her own library card and you have to be able to print your own name to get one.  I am so proud!!!!

Fourth of July

We had a great Fourth!!  We went over to Rickey and Sherry's house and hung with the fam!

Princess Caroline

If you know Lily, you can imagine that Caroline gets dressed up...a lot. I'll look over and suddenly, Caroline will have on a beaded necklace and a ring and, of course, a crown! Lily has had a lot of fun with our newest crown that I won in a dance contest (yes, you read that right). Good thing Caroliney doesn't mind being dressed-up!

Beating the Heat...

I think I had one of these posts 2 summers ago as well and, once again, I apologize to Mother Nature for wasting our natural resources. It's just so hot...and so fun to play with the hose!! What's a mom to do?!?

Swinging...

Lily likes to do tricks with her Daddy and the ball while she is swinging!

Babyland General

Saturday I took Lily to Babyland General to meet up with my friend, Beth, and her sweet kids. Afterwards, we went to an Amish or German bakery, which was absolutely divine--I could do a whole post about their cinnamon rolls, but that's for another day! The girls LOVED Babyland General!! We got to see a baby born while we were there...Mrs. Cabbage dilated to 14 leaves and had to push. The doctor had to give her an episiotomy because it's "easy" and he didn't want her to have to have a c-section (cabbage section). He did an ultrasound first and saw it was a boy and the kids named him Eric Connor. There were babies available for adoption all over Babyland General and they all are named the names that the kids shout at it their birth so it makes for some odd combinations.

Lily with a very small fraction of the babies available for adoption. They had several original Cabbage Patch Kids when you first walk in...the oldest was re-adopted recently for $37,000!! They also had a little store there with regular Cabbage Patch Kids you could buy.
Lily and Sarah are big friends!!
Which one is Will?!?

My favorite doll there...can you read his name? Scroll on down...
Ha!! Some mom must have suggested this one!!
Sarah and Lily with their new dolls and Will with the purse he was forced to hold by his big sister!

She's Crafty!

I was reading a magazine that I'd stolen from my doctor's office the other day and came across this craft...Lo and behold, I had every needed item in my house already! That never happens. So, Lily and I made an awesome paper bowl. I think it turned out mighty beautiful.
The finished product!!

Our New Swingset...

I thought about entitling this one...Something We Do Everyday. Lily LOVES her new swing-set!! Caroliney likes it, too!

Lily loves to swing her sister.
Caroline likes to lick the seat! Twirling...

Caroline's Second Taste of Solids

BTW, this picture was taken the day after the other one...I promise I didn't try once and quit til now...though she hates solids so much that I might as well!!! Lily is my helper and she ALWAYS wants to help feed Caroliney.
